We have had a spate of phone calls from people claiming to work for Microsoft and stating they have detected ‘malicious software on our computers’ which we can be corrected if we follow their directions. At best this is an attempt to sell their product using scare tactics, at worst following their advice will compromise your security and permit the theft of personal information. Microsoft have better things to do than ring users in other countries, treat this nonsense as it deserves.
